A sad goodbye to a gifted radio presenter

I laid in bed this morning going through all the things I needed to get done today, and top of the list was write a note to Malcolm Laycock. Literally as I thought this, a text came through from John Wilson telling me that Malcolm had passed away last night in his sleep. After caring for his wife during her battle against cancer, and coping with the well documented actions of the BBC, Malcolm had lost the two things that he loved and lived for most. That he has now passed away himself is such a sad ending to a life filled with accomplishment and acts of kindness. He will be sorely missed by his friends and masses of fans from the big band world. I counted him as a good friend and will always be grateful for his kindness, loyal support and wicked sense of humour. Leave any comments about this sad loss below.
